Mabel has witnessed a whole bunch of strange and disturbing things when she was in Gravity Falls. Between time travel and fighting against a demonic triangle, Mabel had seen it all. So much so, she also witnessed Bill take over the town and saw even stranger and bizarre things. Violence isn’t anything new to her as she also saw things like that herself. Despite everything, she manages to keep moving forward and be optimistic about everything.

Powers and Abilities: Mabel is as human as they come along with thirteen year old abilities. However, Mabel has the ability to sew and make a lot of sweaters given the amount she has made during the summer. In addition, while she might not be quite as smart as Dipper, she is a rather imaginative person. If something requires one to think outside of the box, she's definitely someone to go to!

Also, she knows how to use a grappling hook rather well.

1. Who is the person your character is most bonded with from their canon, or who is someone they miss the most and why?

That would be Dipper and her Grunkle Stan. Dipper is her twin brother and had experienced almost everything with him. Despite how much she bickers with him, it's clear that she loves him dearly. So much so, she took part in Weirdmageddon because she couldn't stand the idea of being separated from him. Even then, she got rescued because her brother told her that he wouldn't leave her behind. As for Grunkle Stan, he is family. It's clear that Mabel takes after him in both their outspoken nature and how much they plan things so suddenly. After the events in Gravity Falls, all Mabel wanted was to spend time with her Grunkle and her family in Gravity Falls.

2. What are they most afraid of and why?

Once again, it's being separated by her brother. When Mabel overheard that Dipper wanted to take after Grunkle Ford, Mabel couldn't believe it. She said that she didn't know how to move forward without Dipper. When she was inside a bubble that Bill created, she said that she liked this new reality for hers because she didn't have to move forward. She could stay inside the bubble and not worry about all the bad things that will happen. Of course, it wasn't until Dipper said that he would stay with her that made Mabel leave.

3. What are their emotional, mental, and physical weaknesses and why?
Answer for all three.

Physically, Mabel is a normal 13 year old and all the trappings that come with it. She is just about 5 foot and can barely take on monsters by herself. If she didn't have a weapon or a grappling hook, she can't fight. While it is implied that she is strong, it's about average for a 13 year old.

Emotionally, Mabel is your normal 13 year old girl. She is overemotional as she wears her heart on her sleeve. She is loud and overly blunt to the point of being rude sometimes. She knows she is childish and has a lot of things to learn. She also knows that she has to grow up.

Mentally, Mabel isn't that strong either. Despite her being optimistic in the face of danger, she is still just 13. She is often easily manipulated by others and likes it when things go her way. Once again, Bill tricked her to start Weirdmageddon based on how emotional she was feeling at the time.

4. What discrepancies are there between their inner self (who they feel they are) and their outer self (how they present themselves to others)?

To be honest, Mabel doesn't have a lot of discrepancies from her inner and outer self. Mabel is a very outspoken and blunt person. Due to this, what one sees is what one gets. Mabel is someone who likes very cute, girlish, and colorful things. She makes it clear as she makes her own sweaters, loves sweets, and how unconventional her thinking is. During a time when Mabel was stuck inside the bubble, it was everything Mabel wanted. So much so one of the people she created said it's a world of color where bees can only see. This goes to show just how strange and chaotic Mabel is both inside and out.

5. What would make them happiest and why?

Mabel is happiest when she spends time with her friends and family. For all of her eccentrics, she is a very simple girl. That's why her time in Gravity Falls meant so much to her. Even when there was so many strange and dangerous things going on, she cried over having to go back home. She even freaked out when her friends said that they couldn't spend time with her because of all the extra activities they had to do. This was because they had to get ready to go back to school. Again, Mabel wanted to live inside her bubble and created a fake Dipper because she wanted to more spend time with everyone.

6. What characteristics does someone need to have to be your character's ideal significant other friend?

Someone who can match Mabel's eccentricities. When she first arrived in Gravity Falls, the first people she befriended were people who seemed odd. This goes to show that she likes to befriend people who can match her energy. Not only that, Mabel probably would also like someone who can be serious and keep her grounded. Considering she is usually up in her own head; she needs someone who will remind her on what's important. This is why she also needs a friend who is similar to Dipper so she can stay grounded.

7. Would your character make a sacrifice to save someone else and why or why not?

Yes, definitely. For all of Mabel's selfishness, she is also someone who wouldn't hesitate to risk her life to save someone. She will go out of her way to make sure someone is happy. Even if it is for her own gain sometimes, she does it out of her own selfishness. Yes, she can be spoiled but she is still just a 13 year old girl who wants the best for people. She was willing to die from Bill for the sake of saving Gravity Falls. She was prepared to die during that time.

8. What is one thing they would tell their younger self if they had the chance, or if your character is young, what is one thing they would want their older self to remember?

That's to be more selfless. When Mabel got rescued, she mentioned to Dipper that he could go with Grunkle Ford if he wanted to. At that moment, she probably realized just how she had been. Throughout many times, Dipper agreed to with Mabel does and Mabel doesn't do much in return. Her brother was willing to give up his own happiness many times for the sake of his sister. If Mabel hadn't been so selfish, maybe weirdmageddon wouldn't have happened.

9. When in dire circumstances does your character fight, flee, freeze or fawn and how does that look?

Mabel would definitely fight. She is someone who is very impulsive and rarely ever freezes. She doesn't even fawn during her battles either. The only time she does freeze is when the unexpected happens such as seeing how strong Bill was or when he had someone within his clutches. Throughout Gravity Falls, she's usually the one who starts a fight while Dipper was the one who calculates in the background.

10. Why did your character make the wish they did?

At the end of Gravity Falls, Mabel wanted an unending summer to end all summers. That was because she simply wanted to spend more time with her friends and family. Considering that was the reason weirdmageddon started, she would still want that wish. Even after everything, she probably also must have realized that her friends and family are what's important in life.

Unlike her younger brother, Mabel tends to see the world as half full. Due to this, she sees everything in an optimistic light and tries to look on the brighter side of things. At the same time, however, that doesn’t stop her from being self-absorbed and egotistical sometimes. Throughout her canon, she slowly starts to learn to become more selfless and especially in regards to her brother, Dipper.

One of the things that stands out about Mabel is how positive she is. Outside of wearing a smile on her face, she always makes silly jokes and wears a bunch of sweaters just for the occasion! Someone is having a bad day? That’s okay, she’ll be sure to turn that frown upside down! Need any advice on love? She’s the girl to go to! If you totally need to cry? She’s definitely help you out too!

While she has seen all the horrors and weirdness that goes on in Gravity Falls, that doesn’t falter her attitude. If anything, it simply makes her want to keep up the demeanor just so she can cheer her friends up! An example of this would be when Dipper accidentally raises the dead, what does she do in this situation? That’s right, keep going with the karaoke party while they take the zombies head on! This also extends to her friends as well. When all of them happened to be cursed by Summerween Trickster, she simply told them that they shouldn’t give up! They should do whatever he said and make the best out of everything! Another example would be when her brother confessed to his crush, Wendy, and when that didn’t work out? She simply tried her best to cheer him up and told him to look to the brighter side of things! In fact, this also extends to how much she wants to everyone to feel how happy she is! When Dipper had trouble getting over his crush, Mabel tried her best to make sure that he found another girl so he can be happy! This also applies to Robbie whom she too wanted him to be happy as well.

From the millions of sweaters and the one time she wore nacho earrings, it's quite clear that she is a rather creative and imaginative girl. Not to mention this was also the same girl who managed to find one of Gravity Fall's biggest mystery about the who the founder of the town was simply because of how imaginative she could be!

Given how some of it might be because of how Dipper tends to be good at a lot of things, she tries to overcompensates and declares herself as the “Alpha Twin” simply because she was just a little bit taller than him. Even after Dipper finds a way to make himself taller, she still said she was the Alpha Twin because she just that confident. In addition, because of how assured she is, she also tends to do things without thinking. Throughout her canon, she has shown that she has unintentionally create a chain of events simply because she’s someone who acts first and thinks later. Some of them might be good, some of them might be bad but there’s no denying that she’s a girl who can be rather reckless.

Despite how horribly he treated both her and her friends, she still only wished him the best of luck in his future! While she wanted to go too, she placed more emphasis on her friends first. Speaking of Pacifica, when she met her in Golf Wars, she tried to be friendly to her despite their past history. She told her that it was important to share and that they could probably be friends one day! In Society of the Blind Eye, even when Blind Ivan wasn’t being very nice to them, she still wished him some happiness in the future after his memories were gone! This is the same girl who wanted better working conditions in the Mystery Shack simply because they weren’t happy!

As she spent the entire summer trying to find some romance, she decided to a selfless thing and destroy her own puppet show in order to save Dipper. -Optimism: Even though she had seen things that would give people nightmares for days, she manages to come out on top with a bright smile on her face. Even to the point where people call her out on how annoyingly happy she is!

-Friendly: Given how she usually befriends a lot of people, it should come to no surprise that her friends came to defend her when someone said anything otherwise. (Because that stupid unicorn was mean.)

-Caring: Despite how selfish she can be, she really does want other people to be happy. And no matter what, she'll be sure that she goes out of her way that they do! Even if it means risking her own happiness at times.

-Confident: Given the way how Mabel acts and behaves, it's quite clear that she knows what she's doing. She doesn't care or mind if people stare at her, she isn't afraid to experiment or try new things.

Weaknesses:

-Naive: Since Mabel is only 13, she tends to wear her heart on her sleeve and trusts people almost unconditionally. There are very few people whom she doesn't because she wants to believe in the best of people.

-Selfish: Throughout her canon, she has shown that while she can be caring, she can put her own needs before others. While it's never anything malicious, it is enough to be called out on. (Because Bill is just a mean old jerk)

-Vain: Since she places a lot on appearances, this can be quite the problem and especially regarding about her summer time crushes. And especially on her own appearance too. (Because Bill just also had to ruin her cuteness too!)

-Short sighedness: Since she tends to plan on what's happening in the present, she doesn't tend to think of what happens afterwards. This is especially true whenever she's trying to flirt with other boys. She wants 'X' thing to happen between them without really thinking about the future.

-Obnoxious: Mabel can be a very caring person but make no mistake, she can be unpleasant to be around. Seeing as how she can be over the top, it might not be something people would like.

Why?: While Mabel has the personality and attitude to be a God, she also fits the role of a shinki because she likes supporting people. Throughout her canon, she has been shown that she has no problem helping Dipper out on his adventures and take a back sit. In addition, Mabel is pretty creative. If she were a shinki, she could figure out ways on how to easily use her ability to her best advantage anyway.
