[He's not sure why he expected otherwise. Really, what was he thinking in assuming she would just want to be introduced like normal people first, then dump paint on him at a later date?]

Not really close to it, no. It's just an easy landmark to start from for giving directions.
But if we need to go find the paint, how about I just meet you outside the park's main entrance instead? Save ourselves some backtracking.

[On the other side of the screen, Shuichi giggles softly as he reads the message.]

Though I doubt you'll have to do much screaming. I kind of stand out a little, being a monster.
Just look for a grey guy with black ram's horns and a forehead horn.

[He'll stick around just long enough to make sure Mabel doesn't have any other questions before closing his laptop and heading out the door. Unfortunately, he doesn't have his wings yet so he has to talk to the park. Even with his long legs, it still takes him a good ten minutes or so to reach the entrance of Central Park.]

[He doesn't dare actually enter it, knowing by now the sort of affect it has on monsters. Instead, he stands just outside the entrance and looks around for any sign of the "girl in a sweater with a permanent smile".]

[Meanwhile, here Mabel was trying to find Central Park. It took her a few questions from the locals (and probably harassing) them to find where it was.

Luckily, it didn't take her too long as she was indeed wearing a sweater and having a permanent smile on her face. Narrowing her eyes, she tried her best to play a game of spot it. If she were a grey guy, where would he hang around?

Surely enough, that's when she found a certain boy with those features. Suddenly, with a loud shout?]

Hey, Shuichi! Over here!

[The demon jumps slightly at hearing his name, very clearly startled by Mabel's very loud shouting. How can such a tiny pair of lungs produce such volume? Mysteries he's never been able to solve, since Kokichi is the same way.]

[He turns to face her and offers a small, slightly nervous smile before trotting towards her.]

Ah, hi, Mabel-san. It's nice to meet you in person.

[His voice is soft and surprisingly effeminate for an eighteen year old boy. And there's just the very slightest trace of a lisp to it thanks to his forked tongue. And when he comes to a stop in front of her, he offers a brief, stiff bow in greeting.]

[Now that Mabel got a better glimpse at her new friend, she could see what he meant. With his grey skin and horns, it would make for a rather somber look. With a bright smile on her face, she simply gave her hand out to him]

It's nice to meet you in person too, Shuichi! I must say, you are a rather terrifying vampire. But all the more reason to make you prettier, am I right?

[Clearly, this was the best way to introduce yourself to someone in person]

[Mabel will receive a delivery of: a giant fuckoff bag of assorted yarns, literally as big as she is. Also a pink scarf, poorly constructed and wrapped around itself very tightly. Inside, a note: "It's harder to make sweaters than expected. Merry Christmas. — Giorno"]

[After some tracking down, Mabel will receive a delivery from a courier. It's a pack of snacks from those Maya's been making with Makoto; a paper package full of pink kohakutou cut like sea glass, a trio of strawberry daifuku, and a pink omamori good luck charm blessed by the medium herself, for whatever that merits in Ryslig.

Included is what to them probably feels like an old-timey photo of Maya and Dandy wearing the sweaters Mabel made.

"Thank you so much for the awesome sweaters! I hope you like these sweets from mine and Makoto's home. There's enough to share, but I won't tell anyone if you keep them all for yourself ✩

He's got to give something in return for that nice sweater, so after some snooping Mabel will find herself with a gift-wrapped package containing some glittery new headbands on Christmas morning!

[ Naoto's present just arrived at Mabel's door (after a bit of trouble finding the place)! It happened to be some handmade mochi-- all peach shaped and flavored. There was also a star keychain bundled with the box. A note was attached, written in blue ink. ]

[ A small package is delivered to Mabel's doorstep with a letter and a small wooden carving of a dolphin. It isn't really a valentine's gift to a friend because they've only met once. But when carving the others, he found himself making this one, too. He's had it delivered early for her convenience and not to get in the way of the holiday itself. ]

The better question is how are you doing? It sure has been pretty cray cray lately!

That's true. The oily storms that preceded the disaster made me very ill. I wasn't prepared for that due to my past, so I wasn't involved in much of the chaos that occurred after. Fortunately, it ended as well as could be expected.
