[He was going to wait until White Day, but then it occurred to him that Alexis is probably American so maybe he should not leave her hanging.

AND SO. A sticker is left tucked into the nameplate on the door.]

[A sticker of a star huh?

Well, don't mind Alexis just taping it straight on her door for all to see! Of course, she's not going to waste an amazing sticker but she still wanted to show her appreciation in some way!]

[Heeey Alexis! Whenever you get back to your room, there'll be a small box with cutesy heart-patterned wrapping and a bow with a card attached to it:]

Happy Valentine's Day to the sweetest and cutest princess! You deserve all the best there is.

[Inside this box? Is a fancy-looking flower headband!]

[That...wasn't what Alexis was expecting at all. The fact that she got something so fancy?? How could she handle that? The moment that she saw the headband, she wasted no time putting on it on her head!

Guess who was totally going to show it off to everyone the next day? And to thank her for this later!!]

[ Sometime during the day on Valentine's, a swirling mess of colors approaches Alexis. MESSy spins cheerfully in greeting, and then she spits out a box and a single flower.

Inside the box is some candy, and a slice of cake, nestled in a box. A note written on bright, colorful paper reads, from Tsukuru, to Alexis! Happy Valentine's Day!

Once MESSy has delivered the items, she twirls around happily, as if saying goodbye, and begins to float away. ]

[What the hey, Tsukuru?! That was...a lot more stuff than she possibly thought she was going to get! Sure, that weird colourful cube kind of threw her off (Seriously, what is it??), but when she saw the array of stuff she got from her?

Well, how was she suppose to react?

And just before MESSy went away though?] Hey, be sure to tell Tsukuru I said thank you! Tell her that she's the best!

[Huh, that was weird. Whatever was going on, it must be serious! Why else would Abies send a message like this?

Doing as she was told, as soon as she read it, she quickly tore it up into tiny pieces (because let's face it, Alexis with fire? Probably not a good thing!) and went straight to the docks the next day! But as she waited, there were many things racing through her head!

Was everything okay? Either of them got hurt did they? Oh my gosh, they didn't suddenly create a giant candy land for everyone here right?!

Either way, it looked like she had to wait until Abies showed up!]

[Not long after, Abies arrived on the scene with a very concerned look on his face.]

Ah, Alexis, thanks for taking the time for this. It's very important and it's related to Larix-niisan.

[Wait didn't you pretend you were an only child just about a week ago. The details didn't matter, there were more important things at hand.]

He's talking to a preteen, he mentally repeats to himself like a mantra.]

[The last couple of days have been exhausting for Schneewittchen. Despite not having long shifts right now, she's more focused on working hard. Not to the point of neglecting her health thank goodness, but it's almost as if she needed a distraction.

Yet, when she's on break, it seems as if nothing's really changed. She's still somewhat cold, but nice. However, she's always found doing something, whether it be reading, counting up her finances...just anything that's keeping her occupied.

Talking isn't out of the question either, so Schneewittchen takes the chance to head up to a certain room to find a familiar someone, and lightly knocks on the door.]

[For Alexis, she had been taking the past few days kind of hard. Ever since her meeting with Larix and Yotsuba, she wondered if she should go check up on them. The least she could do was owe them an apology for being so pushy when they didn't it.

But at the same time, that didn't stop them from being jerks! And especially Larix! All she wanted to do was help but no, he just had to be mean!

Now though? With her brother gone, she didn't know how to react. It just wasn't fair though. His brother managed to pay off his debt and yet, she didn't. So much for having the perfect summer here with Dipper.

Although, her thoughts were cut short since she heard a familiar voice!]

Yeah, I'm here. It's been awhile hasn't it, Schny? [Indeed it has since Alexis had seen better days]

It sure has.

[Uh-oh. She was expecting the usual cheery and bright atmosphere, but that didn't sound anything like it this time, and that was a little worrying.

Excuse her for a moment as she lets herself in.]

It went okay. Amazingly, the night wasn't a disaster and he walked me home.

Then that's good! I was wondering if it might turn out well. I'm glad that he didn't turn out so bad in the end.

[She wanted to think so. Heck, she used to. But, after what had happened?

Much as she tries to put on a neutral look, her eyes become cold. And when she speaks again, her tone is soft and calm, yet with an underlying hint of anger.]

...You're telling me. All I ever wanted to do was to help him and his brothers out but nooo! He just had to tell me that I was being really really annoying! And...that just really hurt you know!

[Awww hell naw. Saying it to a kid was crossing the line, especially with someone like Alexis! It only makes Schneewittchen more furious, clenching her even tighter. Boy, if she ever sees him again, she's going to give him a piece of her mind!

No, it's not. Wanting to help a friend is never wrong.

[Catching sight of Alexis's face, she reaches out to pull her into a gentle hug.]

Wanting space is fine too, but there's better ways to say it. And what he did wasn't right at all.

[As she felt her arms around her, Alexis suddenly found herself in tears. She wasn't sure why she felt that way but right now?

She didn't seem to care. When she gave a sniffle, all she could do was just let water escape out of her eyes]

I-It really wasn't. It's not fair, how can he say that to his brothers when they're here with him? Doesn't he know that one day they just might disappear and you might never ever see them again?!

[She keeps quiet for a while as she smooths out the back of Alexis's hair in an effort to calm her down. That last part, different as it sounded, it...kind of hit close. Way too close.]

[Schneewittchen's hug becomes a little tighter all of a sudden as she looks more somber.]

Parting with bad words before they're gone...it's awful. Hopefully he realizes what he's done before that ever happens.

[That was when Alexis noticed something off about her friend. As she continued the hug, she looked up at the taller girl with a worried look.

She might have an idea of what happened but she wanted to hear it out of her first]

I really hope so but...are you okay? Not that I don't like hugs but you sure are a little more snuggly than usual!

[Not that Schny wasn't someone who didn't hug but it was rather odd. She might not know her that well but she gets the feeling she wasn't one who hugs that way.]

[And just like that, she snaps out of it.]

Oh, sorry! Just- what you said reminded me of what happened back home.

[She pulls away from Alexis, giving her a bit of space while smiling sheepishly.]

Over there, I was part of a team, and while we had a rough start, we managed to pull together. But then, one of my teammates and I had a disagreement on views, and she ran away afterwards. We searched for her the next day, but-

[Her smile goes away, being immediately replaced with a melancholic frown.]

...I didn't to reconcile with her before I got sent here.

[It wasn't the real issue, though. While what happened with Blake was similar and still kind of stung, the true issue...she can't say right now.]

[In that moment, Alexis didn't know what to say back. It sure sounded a lot like what she went through back home. Although, she was lucky.

At least she got a chance to say something to her brother before he left. While he might have forgiven her, it was still difficult to her to forgive herself.

And especially to allow that stupid evil triangle get the better of her too!!

Still, for a moment, she didn't say anything. Instead, she hugged her friend even tighter than before]

I'm sorry. If they ever come here, then I really really hope that the both of you will get a chance to huge and make up! It sounds like you really deserve it!
